Why Is Trump So Obsessed with Pakistan?

  In a surprising shift in South Asian geopolitics, President Donald Trump’s recent behavior toward Pakistan has raised eyebrows across the global strategic community. Following the 2025 Indo-Pak war and a fragile ceasefire, Trump has seemingly pivoted away from India—long considered America’s South Asian partner—and extended a series of generous diplomatic and economic gestures toward Islamabad. Just one day ago, the Trump administration signed a major trade agreement with Pakistan , offering a 10% reduction in tariffs.
